One of the more popular jump starters in the market is Clore JNC300XL or better known as the Jump N Carry 900.
It’s a pretty powerful beast with 900 peak amps and 225 cranking amp. The product also includes full-sized clamps, which will grip your battery terminals even if they’re afflicted with battery corrosion. That’s definitely handy for cars with really old batteries. Just in case you’re stuck in a dark place and don’t have access to light (your battery is dead after all), Clore JNC300XL Jump-n-Carry 900 comes with a high-intensity work light.
Apart from these awesome features, Clore JNC300XL only weighs 9 lbs! It’s very handy and it’s definitely not heavy. Even soccer moms and single ladies can go carrying it for backup power.
The unit comes with a 6-foot wire-connector and a 2″ X 2″ X 2″ charger, which you can plug into a socket in the wall. If the unit is drained, it will take about 2.5 hours to charge it.
Its list price is over $110, but you can get it at $60 (or even less). This is a bargain and a very helpful tool.
What car can this small beast power up?
Although it’s a small and light tool, the JNC300XL can power up cars, SUVs, pickups, motorcycles, minivans, ATVs, and small boats. It’s a really handy tool to keep in the house or in the trunk of your car.

It charges quickly, holds a charge for months and is light and compact. Last summer my wife called to say she was first in a left turn lane on a busy expressway and her car stalled and would not start. I grabbed to JNC300XL where it had set for months without a charge and off I went. I connected it to her battery and it provided plenty of power to turn over her fair sized V6 engine and start the car. – H. Stewart
I bought a JNC300Xl a couple of months ago – it is AMAZING! Small, light and powerful enough to start my Ford Freestar (Windstar) with no problems. If your battery is very dead, wait a few minutes after hooking up the JNC300XL before you try to turn the ignition. – Michele Moore
Just to give you update, I have been using this product for more than a year now. I only had to charge it once. Its internal battery is just amazing if you’re only using this for a quick jump-start every once in a while. I have used it at least more than a dozen times and it has always worked flawlessly. I last charged it several months ago and it still shows that the internal battery has enough juice to go on (two green LEDs). – John Smith
The JNC300XL does not come with overcharge protection. So don’t leave it plugged in for days. Charging overnight should be fine, though.
The unit does not have a master ON/OFF button.
Some customers also complained that this unit would no longer hold a charge after 2-3 years.

For smaller cars and SUVs and other vehicles, Clore JNC300XL Jump-n-Carry 900 Peak Amp jump starter will do the job. It will help you jump start your car when you’re stuck with a drained battery. But if you have a bigger car (V8) and bigger vehicles, it would be better to buy a bigger and more expensive unit.
